24 Hour Urine Transport Instructions
- Verify that the urine was collected for the entire 24-hour period. If not, note the total hours of collection on the specimen label.
- Consult the Covenant Lab Test Directory for special handling requirements.
- If submitting an aliquot of the 24-hour collection, mix well, measure the entire collection, and write the total volume in milliliters (mL) on the specimen label.
- Urine specimens submitted for Creatinine Clearance must note height and weight of patient.
